Tasks
1. student meetings
2. work
3. teach — I made my late-afternoon class optional so that everyone could easily get home for Thanksgiving, but apparently about 10 students are going to show up, so I guess I’ll have to teach them? Or maybe just play games.

Tales
So I have never before worn jeans to teach in, but I feel like this super-casual, goof-around, optional class session that I’m holding this afternoon warrants some super-casual attire. I mean, I think we’re going to play Take a Stand and chat about semicolons or something like that, so I don’t think I need to be drastically be-suited or anything.
And yet, I did not want to get up and go this morning! It’s raining here so hard that I was more than a little convinced that I could have strapped water-skis to the back of the bus and skidded my way to the office, so waking up? Not so much. But now that I’m here, I’ve got plans to make this a SUPER productive pre-Thanksgiving day.

i like that even though this is a casual look with jeans, it still looks put-together!
Cute boots! And I like the print and colors in your top
Why thank you! I do what I can on days when I can barely finish a thought.
Happy turkey day, dear!
WHAT?! Ten students went to an optional class on the day before Thanksgiving?! Well, I’m not going to lie, I might have been one of those students (I was Ms. 4.2 GPA and couldn’t bring myself to skip class). Sometimes I think students forget that classes are just as much work for the teachers. Good job going with the laid back outfit. I hope you had a fun game day class and a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Right? I would have been there, and I would have taken notes. But it was fun! Thanks for the well-wishes!
